Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Expentify uses cookies and similar browser storage.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites also use the browser's local storage for the same purpose. Expentify uses both to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use them for:
- Signing in: keeping you signed in between visits (Google Firebase Authentication).
- Your settings and data: remembering your theme, currency, cookie choice, and the ledger you keep on this device.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies that count visits and show which pages are used.
- Advertising: Google AdSense cookies that show ads, limit how often you see the same ad and, if you allow it, personalise ads.
3. Disabling Cookies
You can prevent the setting of cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser. Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality and features of this and many other websites that you visit. Disabling cookies will usually result in also disabling certain features of Expentify (e.g. persistent automatic theme selection).
